The Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project (www.charliebates.org a 501c3 nonprofit) is the highest volume solar astronomy outreach program in the world and brings observatory quality, narrowband solar telescopes and imaging equipment to over 150 schools and events per year. In 2012 we personally reached over 84,000 students and adults in 5 countries. In this program you will be able to see up close, live views of Sunspots, Solar Flares, and other fiery magnetic phenomena on the surface of our nearest star. You can even take your own image of the Sun in three different wavelengths of light. Get ready to be blown away by the incredible views of the Sun through these state of the art telescopes and cameras. All participants receive solar viewing glasses and various NASA goodies absolutely free at the event!
